REFLECTION
As I reflect upon my experience in AD1, it becomes clear that it was a multifaceted journey filled with a range of emotions. There were exhilarating moments of accomplishment, periods of heightened stress, and occasional setbacks. This module offered a comprehensive exploration into the realm of architectural design, providing invaluable insights into materials, spatial configurations, and the art of manipulating form.
While some aspects of the course, such as crafting models and preparing presentation boards, were similar to my prior studies in FNBE, the depth and rigor demanded by AD1 were undoubtedly elevated. The challenges presented were intricate and demanding, requiring me to delve deeper, think critically, and refine my skills with heightened precision and creativity.
Navigating through the complexities of this module, I found myself continually drawn to the intricacies and the multifaceted nature of architectural design. Despite the rigorous demands, there was an underlying sense of fulfillment and satisfaction in confronting and overcoming challenges, underscoring my growing passion for the discipline. In essence, while AD1 posed rigorous challenges, it also offered a profound sense of growth, learning, and fulfillment, solidifying my commitment and enjoyment of architectural design.
My thoughts
Undoubtedly, AD1 was one of the most challenging modules I encountered during Semester 1. However, instead of giving up, I persevered and remained committed and dedicated throughout. While achieving good results was important, what mattered most to me was knowing that I invested my utmost effort. This made Semester 1 both memorable and rewarding. This journey highlighted my ability to effectively assimilate and apply the knowledge imparted by my lecturers.
Navigating intricate tasks demanded continuous self-challenge, often testing my limits and stretching beyond my comfort zone. Sometimes, I had to sacrifice restful nights, but this pursuit of growth proved invaluable, shaping my resilience and enhancing my skills.
In closing, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to my lecturers and tutors. Their unwavering guidance and insightful feedback were instrumental in catalyzing marked advancements in my design acumen.
