Project 1
STARCHITECT (10% INDIVIDUAL)

Task :

Create a preliminary design and layout for a poster on an A4 sheet of paper.

The poster design must encompass specific elements to effectively convey its message. Start by prominently displaying the architect's name as the title, complemented by an apt subtitle. Additionally, incorporate a visual element by featuring a portrait or a representative image of the architect. To highlight their architectural prowess, showcase three pivotal buildings they've designed. Furthermore, accompany these visuals with a concise yet informative description that offers insights into the architect's life, intriguing anecdotes, or memorable quotes, spanning a length of 5 to 10 lines.

REFLECTION

In completing the poster task, I skillfully designed a visual tribute to a renowned architect, merging typography, imagery, and concise biography details. Beginning with an A4 sketch, I highlighted key elements: the architect's name, a representative portrait, three signature buildings, and a succinct bio. Transitioning to an A3 final version, I meticulously applied a fitting color palette to capture the architect's essence. This project honed my design sensibilities and showcased my ability to convey complex information visually.

Throughout this assignment, I learned about many architects that I didn’t know before. Besides, I also improved my drawing and coloring skills as I needed to present my work with any color media. I am pleased to say that it has significantly improved my drawing and coloring abilities.
